Was really worried about the size of a yaris as I had never owned one beforehand after driving this it was hard to believe it was a small car lots of leg room both front and back seats and I'm just on 6 feet tall lots of head room . All the mod cons needed for a short or longer drive sits on the road on a smooth 100km with lots of power to overtake when needed the 5 speed manual is a short shift easily moving though the gear change giving a sports feeling. Bluetooth phone functions easy to set up and use speedometer displays easy to read power windows and mirrors easy-to-use great storage with 5 door hatchback. With very little roll in cornering drives very well on tight mountain roads able to break quickly and smoothly gives a solid feeling of control rough roads become smoother doesn't feel tinny as I thought a small car would. Fits five adults well center back seat belts comes down from roof in the center feels strange but works back seats fold down partly or fully good for carrying items where you need that extra room or if you needed to lie down not sure about sleeping but could work lots of cup holders though out good lighting in the hatchback part and back seats rear windows great size to let in fresh air rear back doors good solid feel with arm rests build in head rests in back give a comfortable ride would be enough room to put in a screen on back of drivers or passages seat if needed still a nice amount of headroom in back . Engine easy to access with everything layout in easy reach I like the fact the pertrol cap opens only from inside and locks when it shuts spare tire and jack nicely packed away under hatchback storage space able to lock and unlock conpartment its stored in Lots of storage in front dashboard apart from the glove box there are little draws every where I seem to come across new ones out of the blue Overall very impressive cant find any issues so far

2007 Toyota Yaris YRS Review
Owner Review | 3 Apr 2016
When I came back from Canada in 2006, I was looking for value and economy. I'd had a Mazda MX5 there, but couldn't afford the Australian equivalent. I compared small cars and the Yaris came out on top. It's a great car and I've had a lot of fun in it. It just hit the 113600 mark (5 trips to QLD from VIC and back) and I've never crawled out of this car in agony. The seats, front and back are so comfortable. It's a bit noisy (1.5Ltr), but a smooth ride. What I like about this version is it has a lot of "oomph", so that if you need to pass in a tricky situation, you just drop it down a gear or two (on the manual) and it takes off like a scalded cat. Good fuel economy (6.7/100). Huge interior with more storage space in the dashboard area than the later models; back seats lay completely flat (I'm short so I can sleep full length in it comfortably); has a real spare tire. It had been vandalised in 2012; someone had tried to break off the rear windscreen wiper. I thought I was going to have to spend a fortune to have it repaired but the Maintenance Manager at the Toyota dealership I went to came out with a wrench, gave it a few twists, and it was good as new. He said: "You can't break these cars." I was totally impressed. I'm going to have to sell it - which I'll hate to do - but I now have a standard poodle, so need the five-door model. GREAT CAR!
